Legal & Data Transparency

Privacy Policy

At MyOvertimePay, your privacy is safeguarded by architectural design. We operate a free, static calculation platform that collects effectively no personal information: no user accounts, no logins, and zero calculator inputs stored on our servers.

Summary: Privacy by Design

When you enter your wage rate, hours, or state on MyOvertimePay, the math executes entirely inside your device's web browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not transmit, log, or store your wages, pay frequency, tax elections, or calculations.

1. Information We Collect (Effectively Nothing)

Because MyOvertimePay is a static website focused on public utility, we collect effectively no personal data from visitors:

  • No User Accounts: You do not need an account, password, or profile to access any tool or guide. We do not maintain a user database.
  • No Financial or Wage Storage: The hourly rates, hours worked, filing statuses, and tip credit amounts you input into our calculators are never sent to our servers. They remain strictly in your browser session.
  • Aggregate Usage Analytics: At launch, we utilize privacy-focused analytics to evaluate aggregate platform usage (such as total page impressions, general browser types, device categories, and referring web pages). This information is evaluated exclusively in the aggregate to ensure uptime, detect broken links, and optimize layout speeds. No personal identifiers (such as names, IP addresses tied to identities, or physical locations) are collected or sold.

2. Cookies & Advertising Disclosure

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device to assist with site navigation and technical performance. We maintain strict boundaries regarding cookies:

  • Current Essential Usage: We only deploy technical cookies that are strictly necessary for basic site delivery and aggregate traffic telemetry.
  • Google AdSense Disclosure: To keep this platform 100% free for all workers, MyOvertimePay will apply for participation in the Google AdSense advertising program following public launch. Once approved by Google, AdSense will deploy third-party advertising cookies (including Google DoubleClick cookies) to serve non-intrusive, relevant advertisements based on a user's prior visits to this website or other sites on the Internet.
  • No Pre-Approval Ads: No advertising networks or third-party marketing cookies operate on this platform prior to formal AdSense program approval.
  • Managing Your Cookie Preferences: You have full control over cookie permissions. You can configure your browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge) to refuse all cookies or notify you when a cookie is being sent. Doing so will not restrict your access to any calculator on MyOvertimePay.
  • Opting Out of Personalised Ads: Readers and users can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and may opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting the AboutAds consumer choice page at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.com).

3. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, monetize, barter, or distribute your personal data to any third party. There is simply no personal information collected to share.

If you choose to contact us directly via email, your email address is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is never shared with external marketing entities or added to automated mailing lists.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

MyOvertimePay is a general-audience website designed for American workers, payroll administrators, and adult taxpayers calculating wages. We do not direct our services to children under the age of 13, nor do we knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If an individual under the age of 13 has transmitted information to us via email, we will promptly delete that message upon notification.

5. Data Security

We utilize industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) encryption across our entire domain (`myovertimepay.com`). All communication between your web browser and our static servers is encrypted, preventing unauthorized interception or tampering.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

As labor regulations or technical features evolve, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational improvements or regulatory compliance. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

In keeping with our transparency principles, substantive adjustments to our privacy practices will be recorded with exact effective dates in our public Tax & Rate Changelog.
