User Agreement & Guidelines

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MyOvertimePay. By accessing our calculators, statutory guides, and payroll resources, you agree to these terms.

Effective Date: October 18, 2026 • Official Platform Launch TermsTrack term revisions in Changelog →

Key Principle: Informational Estimates Only

MyOvertimePay provides free calculation tools designed to simulate wage, overtime, and paycheck scenarios based on published statutes. All outputs are mathematical estimates for personal informational use only and do not constitute formal tax, legal, payroll, or financial advice.

1. Informational Service & Advice Disclaimer

The calculators, interactive tables, statutory summaries, and articles provided across MyOvertimePay are offered free of charge. While our algorithms implement published 2026 IRS withholding brackets, Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations, and state labor codes, they are simulations intended for general educational reference.

Calculator outputs do not establish an attorney-client, accountant-client, or fiduciary relationship. For individualized payroll disputes, wage claims, or complex tax filings, you must consult a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), qualified payroll professional, or labor law attorney. For additional details on our liability boundaries, please review our complete Legal Disclaimer.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

We are committed to maintaining an open, fast, and accessible platform for all workers. To safeguard the availability and integrity of our tools, you agree to comply with the following standards:

  • Permitted Personal Use: You may freely use our tools for normal personal, household, academic, and non-commercial payroll verification purposes.
  • No Scraping or Denial-of-Service: You agree not to engage in systematic data scraping, automated bulk querying, harvesting, or bot activity that degrades platform performance or consumes disproportionate server bandwidth.
  • No Misrepresentation: You may not represent outputs from MyOvertimePay as legally binding audits, certified tax determinations, or official employer statements.
  • Lawful Employment Inquiries: You agree not to use the platform in furtherance of fraudulent wage reporting or unlawful financial practices.

3. Limitation of Liability & "As Is" Warranty

All content, software, and calculation tools on MyOvertimePay are provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without express or implied warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from error.

User Responsibility to Verify Figures:Because individual employer payroll software configurations, Section 125 pre-tax healthcare deductions, 401(k) retirement contributions, and Form W-4 elections vary significantly, figures generated on this site may differ from your physical paystub. Under no circumstances shall MyOvertimePay, its founder, or its contributors be held liable for any financial decisions, tax assessments, penalties, employment actions, or damages resulting from reliance on calculator outputs. Users bear sole responsibility for verifying all calculations with their employer's payroll office or a licensed professional.

4. Intellectual Property & Content Sharing

The proprietary calculation architecture, user interface design, visual branding, badges, text, and curated statutory summaries on MyOvertimePay are the intellectual property of MyOvertimePay.

Sharing with Attribution: We encourage workers, educators, labor advocates, and journalists to reference our findings. You are permitted to quote snippets, cite formulas, or share calculation outputs provided you give clear attribution with a direct, clickable hyperlink to MyOvertimePay.com.
